Job summary

Premier Project Consultants is seeking an experienced Estimator to support estimating and pre-construction activities across multiple projects, focusing on mid-rise and high-rise multi-unit residential construction in Canada.

Responsibilities include developing estimates and budgets, reviewing drawings, obtaining bids, preparing tender packages, and providing value engineering recommendations. Strong experience in North American construction and Design-Build environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience in multi-unit residential settings.
• Experience with mid-rise and high-rise residential projects.
• Design-Build experience with a developer, GC, or Design-Build organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Executives on multiple projects and estimating assignments.
• Develop project scopes, estimates, budgets and schedules for assigned projects and tenders.
• Review drawings and specifications and perform detailed quantity take-offs for self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Obtain, review and evaluate bids from subcontractors, suppliers and vendors within tender deadlines.
• Prepare tender packages and subtrade bid analyses for review with project leadership.
• Develop and maintain General Conditions budgets and pre-construction/build schedules.
• Provide value engineering recommendations to improve cost, durability or schedule.
• Review change directives and pricing for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain accurate estimating files and documentation.
• Travel as required and work in the office Monday to Friday.
