Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement of quality and safety is inherent in this position.

Reporting to the Supervisor or designate, the Laboratory Combined Technologist receives and completes requisitions, monitors patients, performs general imaging procedures including archiving images, conducts routine Laboratory and ECG testing as qualified, utilizes computerized patient data systems, and manages supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience

Graduation from a recognized combined Laboratory/Medical Radiography Technician Program; One (1) year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
