COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Kitchen Associate in Toronto to prepare high-quality items according to standardized recipes and assist in delivery or service. You will set up stations, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper storage while adhering to food safety guidelines.
The role involves operating kitchen equipment, ensuring correct portioning, maintaining relationships with staff and customers, and supporting all kitchen duties as needed.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Food Handler’s Permit as required by applicable state and county.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills are needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
