Job summary

NOV is hiring for an internal coating role focused on coating used tubulars and related goods. The job involves cleaning, blasting, coating pipe, and operating an overhead crane and related equipment in a physical, safety-sensitive environment.

The successful candidate will perform pipe handling, coating system operation, and follow safety rules while maintaining good housekeeping and reporting hazards. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school education with ability to read, write and speak a basic level of English to perform job duties.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
• Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pipe handling
• Thread spray application
• Mixing/adding coating to system
• Overhead crane operation
• Equipment operation/set-up/adjustment
• Follow basic safety rules
• Report any accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards in the workplace
• Housekeeping
• Accountable to immediate supervisor to complete assigned job tasks in a safe manner
• Accountable for the safety of themselves and fellow co-workers
• Accountable for ensuring trainees are complying with Safe Work requirements
• Authority to correct improper work habits of trainees
• Authority to stop assigned work activities if unsafe conditions exist
