Advanced Bending Technologies is seeking an experienced and energetic Coater to join our Paint department in Calgary, Alberta.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepping, blasting, and painting metal pipes and other materials.
• Reading specifications and painting instructions.
• Ensuring work meets process requirements and quality standards.
• Preparing and mixing paint and coating materials, including two-component paints.
• Following health and safety policies.
• Working according to documented procedures and maintaining records.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of paint/coating experience.
• Experience with blasting required.
• Patching and repairing paint.
• Proficiency with brushes and rollers.
• Experience with 100% solids spray applications.
• Knowledge of epoxies, urethanes, and zinc coatings.
• Ability to operate a king pump 45:1 and above, a conventional/pressure pot, cup gun, and a Graco XM 70 plural component pump.
• Comfortable operating an HPX3 and spraying polyurethane.
• Understanding of processing, handling, and application requirements for all paint materials and coatings.
• Knowledge of OHS legislation.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Comfortable in hot/cold environments, confined spaces, and around equipment.
• NACE or AMP certification is an asset.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
