Job summary

Aecon Civil is seeking a co-op candidate to assist the project controls team with risk management on major civil projects in the GTA. The role supports risk analysis, benchmarking, and documentation across our East division, leveraging strong organizational and communication skills.

You will gather risk-related data, maintain risk registers, and collaborate with project managers and engineers to benchmark risk information.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a University/Technical College pursuing Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Understanding of project management, project controls or cost engineering processes.
• Good communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Proven track record of good performance and attendance.
• Basic presentation skills.
• Bilingual in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the project team for project control activities with a focus on risk management.
• Work with various stakeholders to gather and disseminate risk-related data.
• Assist and support Risk Director, Project Managers and Project Controls Analysts with risk analysis, benchmarking and document initiatives.
• Present findings to the project team when required.
• Analyze historical project risk information and manage and maintain risk registers.
• Work with the different functional groups to provide benchmarking information and feedback on risk management accuracy, and support development as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
