Job summary

Survalent is seeking a CO-OP Quality and Infrastructure Developer to join the SmartVu Development team for an eight-month to one-year term starting January 2027. You will contribute to design, development, testing, and maintenance of secure, high-performance Windows desktop applications used by electric utilities to monitor and manage power flow.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university program in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with C# and the .NET platform.
• Experience developing Windows desktop apps with WPF/XAML or similar UI framework.
• Solid object-oriented design, data structures, and patterns.
• Familiarity with MVVM and creating accessible UIs.
• Experience with Visual Studio, debugging, profiling, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with unit testing and automated tests.
• Experience with SQL/SQL Server and relational databases.
• Experience with source control workflows (Git/Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with APIs, networking, or app integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain C#/.NET Windows desktop applications.
• Build and refine desktop UIs using WPF/XAML and established patterns.
• Develop app logic, components, and integrations with servers, databases, and real-time systems.
• Write clean, well-tested code using OO principles and patterns.
• Create unit, integration, and automated functional tests; diagnose defects.
• Collaborate with CI/CD, automated builds, and release processes.
