Job summary

Survalent is seeking a COOP Quality and Infrastructure Developer to join the Web Application Development team for a four-month Winter term beginning January 2027. You will help build secure, high-performance web apps for electric utilities, focusing on quality practices and real-time software.

You will work with Team Lead and senior developers to create test scripts, design scalable architectures, and contribute to CI/CD integration while following Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university program in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with front-end web development (HTML5, JavaScript).
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and patterns.
• Ability to learn new technologies across platforms.
• Database skills including MS SQL/MySQL or MongoDB.
• Experience with Visual Studio and development frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket.
• Experience with REST API tooling (cURL, Postman, Swagger, Fiddler).
• Knowledge of multi-threading and performance considerations.
• Experience with responsive UI/UX design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with seniors to create automated/functional test scripts.
• Develop scalable UI and robust REST APIs using React, TypeScript, .NET Core, SQL.
• Support CI/CD integration with Build team.
• Write technical documentation as required.
• Contribute to high-quality, maintainable code.
• Assist in testing real-time software for performance and scalability.
• Participate in Agile development processes.
