Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton LLP is seeking a co-op student for Winter 2027 in Ancaster. You will develop client relationships, deliver accounting services and assist with tax and regulatory work as part of a growing Private Held Business Group team.

You will collaborate with professionals across industries, support in compiling financial statements, payroll and HST calculations, and contribute to client advisory services while pursuing CPA prerequisites.

• Committed to pursuing the CPA designation and prerequisites.

• Develop deep client relationships by working closely with clients and providing exceptional client service
• Providing solutions to our clients on current business and financial issues
• Building our reputation as the preferred business advisors in our growing practice
• Working with clients across different industries and sectors
• Providing accounting services, including planning and executing review and compilation engagement, drafting of financial statements, financial analysis, bookkeeping and assistance with payroll and HST calculations
• Completion of personal and corporate tax returns and responding to related CRA requests for information

To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $50,000–$59,000 in Ancaster. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
