Job summary

SiTime Canada is seeking a Systems Engineer to work on brand new MEMS timing devices, focusing on analog and digital embedded systems within wireless, data center, and automotive applications.

You will collaborate with design and marketing to ensure devices meet customer specifications, debug issues, and contribute to pre-silicon efforts. This on-site role emphasizes test automation, data collection, and driving reliable device behavior.

Qualifications

• 3rd year or higher pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or adjacent degree.
• Fully on-site, no ability for remote work.
• Hands on experience with lab equipment (power supplies, frequency counters/generators, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Python based object oriented programming, familiarity with equipment automation and SCPI commands is a bonus.
• Understanding of transmission line theory.
• Ability to solder through hole or surface mount devices down to 0201 size.

Responsibilities

• Device bring-up for new products; ensure power and signal pathways are connected correctly.
• Debugging of devices to verify communication and alive status on arrival.
• Collection of initial data to prove device is alive and functioning.
• Analysis of characterization data to provide datasheet metrics for customers.
• Work with design and verification teams to optimize features before production.
