Job summary

BDO Digital is seeking a Co-op or Intern, DevOps Engineer to join the AppDev team in Canada (Halifax) from January to April 2027. The role focuses on designing, managing, and securing Azure cloud environments while building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation.

You will work with Terraform, GitHub, and Azure DevOps, write scripts in Python and PowerShell, and contribute to service offerings for clients. Hybrid work arrangement is expected.

Qualifications

Candidate pursuing Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
IaC/Terraform experience or coursework.
Proficiency with Python and PowerShell or shell scripting.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Knowledge of Azure REST APIs and cloud security basics.

Responsibilities

Design, manage, support, and maintain defined Azure cloud environments and security controls.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform for IaC.
Write scripts with PowerShell, CLI, and Python.
Design and implement tasks in CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins).
Develop and maintain Azure security policies.
Contribute to new or existing service offerings for customers.
Verify and resolve configuration and non-software issues; improve cloud operations.
