BDO Canada is seeking a Co-op/Intern DevOps Engineer to join the AppDev team from January to April 2027. You will design, manage, and secure Azure cloud environments, build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and Terraform, and develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Python.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and contributing to service offerings while growing skills in Azure, Kubernetes, and related tools.

Qualifications

Candidate for Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) / Terraform experience.
Python programming.
PowerShell or Shell scripting.
Jenkins or GitHub or Azure DevOps experience.
Azure REST API familiarity.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure SQL, Synapse, Polybase, ADF, Databricks, Azure ML, MLFlow, ADLS g2, AKV and HSM is a plus.

Responsibilities

Designing, managing, supporting, and maintaining defined customer Azure cloud environments and security controls.
Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform for IaC.
Writing scripts using PowerShell, CLI and Python.
Designing and implementing tasks in CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins).
Developing and maintaining Azure security policies.
Contributing to service offerings for customers.
Verifying and resolving configuration and non-software issues.
Creating and improving processes to enhance Cloud operations and DevOps awareness.
