Job summary

MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Canada. As a Co-op Accounting Student for an 8-month term beginning January 2027, you’ll develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax while supporting client engagements.

This role emphasizes IFRS, GAAP and ASPE, collaboration with the client engagement team, and the flexibility to travel. Ideal candidates are pursuing a commerce or business degree with accounting or finance focus and CPA

Qualifications

• Pursuing a commerce or business degree with accounting/finance focus.
• Actively pursuing CPA PEP prerequisites.
• Experience with accounting or tax software is an asset.
• Customer service or client service experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and ASPE.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files, including inventories.
• Perform AR, AP, payroll walk-through with clients.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements and related reports.
• Assess audit evidence and correct discrepancies in financial entries.
• Establish charts of accounts and posting entries.
• Prepare client correspondence, summaries and presentations.
• Collaborate with client engagement team and travel as needed.
