Job summary

MNP is seeking a Co-op Accountant in Assurance & Accounting for a 4- to 8-month term starting January or May 2027. The position is on-site in Kingston, Ontario, and involves contributing to financial reporting, audits, and client advisory work within a dynamic team.

You will develop skills in IFRS/GAAP/ASPE, participate in file setup, and support accounts payable/receivable, payroll walkthroughs, and engagement deliverables. Strong communication and CPA pathway are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred).
• Prerequisites for CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment.
• Previous accounting related office experience is an asset.
• Customer service and/or client service experience is an asset.
• Experience working with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files and conduct inventory counts.
• Prepare statements and reports including balance sheets and P&L.
• Collaborate with client engagement team and build relationships with client contacts.
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.
