Job summary

Journeys in Lime Ridge Mall, Hamilton, ON, is seeking a capable sales leader to assist the Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, training, and supervising store personnel to drive sales and protect company assets.

The role emphasizes coaching, team development, and delivering a fun, full-service customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment, with opportunities for promotion from within.

Qualifications

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring high-caliber employees.
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team.
• Provide feedback and coaching to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices.
• Able to work 45 hours per week, including night and weekend shifts.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Completion of all training programs leading up to Co-Manager position or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in-store needs.
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices.
• Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction.
• Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company.
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations in Store Manager and Manager In Training’s absence.
• Supervise and manage all aspect of Loss Prevention practices in Store Manager and Manager In Training’s absence.
• Effectively communicate all store needs to Store Manager and Manager In Training.
• Resolve customer issues effectively.
• Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers.
• Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team.
