Job summary

Journeys is seeking a hands-on leader to recruit, hire, train, and manage store personnel to hit sales goals and protect company assets in Hamilton, Ontario. This role focuses on building a high-energy, customer-first team with opportunities for growth.

You will recruit, train, and coach staff, ensure adherence to company policies, and drive store performance while delivering a fun, full-service experience to customers.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail sales experience
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work 45 hours per week
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
• Recruit, interview, and hire high-caliber employees with in-store needs
• Train and develop a successful sales team
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices
• Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction
• Conduct monthly performance reviews
• Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations
• Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices
• Plan weekly staffing schedules in compliance with schedules policy
• Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers
• Resolve customer issues effectively
• Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team
