Job summary

VTR Feeder Solutions is hiring a CNC Setup Operator for its Grimsby, ON facility. The role involves setting up and operating a 5-axis Matsuura mill with Fanuc control, interpreting blueprints, and performing quality inspections.

You will work with the Manufacturing Team Lead to ensure tooling and materials are available and adhere to safety protocols. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of CNC milling experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a team-based

Job description

We are hiring a CNC Setup Operator to join our growing Manufacturing team in Grimsby! Successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar CNC Mill Setup or Operator role and strong attention to detail. This is a full-time, permanent role.

• General Machining knowledge as an asset
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50lbs
• Experience using measuring equipment including gauges, micrometres, verniers, etc.

Position Overview:

• Report to Manufacturing Team Lead
• Working alongside a Machinist/Programmer to run a 5-axis Matsuura mill with pallet-changer
• Responsible for setup and operation of a CNC mill with Fanuc control
• Accurately interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
• Set up parts and tools
• Measure parts
• Perform inspections and quality checks on completed parts
• Communicate with Team Lead and Manufacturing Admin to ensure proper quantity of tooling and materials
• General cleaning of workspace and machine maintenance
• Ensure the use of proper PPE
• Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, as well as VTR’s Mission, Vision, and Values
• Other related duties as required

Shift Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour Day Shift; Employee must be on-site by 8:00am
• ½-hour Unpaid lunch from 12:30pm-1:00pm
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
