Job summary

Eclipse Automation in Cambridge, ON is seeking a CNC Programmer to advance machining policies and ensure project goals are met on budget, while upholding Eclipse’s culture.

The role requires a General Machinist certificate or equivalent experience and 7+ years of Mastercam programming. On-site work with a willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read/interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
• Program CNC milling machines, lathe, and router using Mastercam.
• Create 3D programs from surfaces and solids; 4th/5th axis programming.
• Set up and adjust production machinery; fit/assemble parts to close tolerance.
• Work in a team environment and communicate effectively; flexible schedule.

Job Title: CNC Programmer

Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $30.00-$40.00/hour

The Position:

Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Programmer/Machinist will assist in the development and implementation of machining policies and procedures, liaise directly with other department personnel to ensure project goals are met on budget, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables


• Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) milling machine, lathe and router using MasterCam


• Create 3D Programs form surfaces and Solids


• 4th and 5th axis programming on CNC mill


• Live tooling and 4 axis lathe programming


• Build Process sheets for material flow


• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables


• Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools using Mastercam


• Set up and adjust production machinery


• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance


• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision


• Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely


• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills


• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and or travel as required in varying timelines

What We’re Looking For:

• Candidate is the owner of a Certificate of Qualification for a General Machinist or has demonstrated equivalent experience in a automation/manufacturing environment


• 7+ years of custom machining and programming using Mastercam experience


• Experienced with machining weldments, boring mill experience and EDM experience an asset
