Eclipse Automation Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist in Cambridge, ON, for full-time on-site work. You will program CNC milling, lathe, and router equipment using Mastercam, create 3D programs from surfaces and solids, and handle 4th/5th axis operations, live tooling, and tight tolerance assemblies.

The role requires strong reading of drawings and self-motivation. Experience with Mastercam and 7+ years in custom machining is essential; EDM and boring mill experience are assets.

• Machining weldments, boring mill experience and EDM experience an asset.

The Position:

Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Programmer/Machinist will assist in the development and implementation of machining policies and procedures, liaise directly with other department personnel to ensure project goals are met on budget, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
• Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) milling machine, lathe and router using MasterCam
• Create 3D Programs form surfaces and Solids
• 4th and 5th axis programming on CNC mill
• Live tooling and 4 axis lathe programming
• Build Process sheets for material flow
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
• Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools using Mastercam
• Set up and adjust production machinery
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and or travel as required in varying timelines

What We’re Looking For:

• Candidate is the owner of a Certificate of Qualification for a General Machinist or has demonstrated equivalent experience in a automation/manufacturing environment
• 7+ years of custom machining and programming using Mastercam experience
• Experienced with machining weldments, boring mill experience and EDM experience an asset
