Qualifications

Job description

Job Description and Responsibilities

Safely operate the CNC lathe to produce premium couplings within specifications. Perform regular maintenance on the equipment.

  1. Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
  2. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  3. Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
  4. Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  5. Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
  6. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  7. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  8. Repair machine tools and parts
  9. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  10. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
Requirements
  1. Grade 12 minimum
  2. Computer numerical control (CNC) machine operation experience is preferred, but not required
  3. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  4. Read and understand API 5CT specifications and computer skills
  5. Able to do shift work
  6. Ability to work independently
  7. Fast-paced environment and tight deadlines
  8. Repetitive tasks and physically demanding
  9. Standing for extended periods and attention to detail
  10. Reliable transportation is required, as the job site is not accessible by public transit
