Job summary

RAD Torque Systems in Abbotsford, BC, Canada is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate CNC lathes and mills, produce parts to our quality standards, and follow safety policies to ensure safe, efficient production.

The role requires 2+ years of CNC operator experience in metal/tool fabrication, plus 6 months to 1 year of proving programs and running 4/5 axis machines. Shifts include 1st and 2nd rotations; Okuma/HAAS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as CNC operator in metal/tool fabrication.
• 6 months to 1 year experience proving programs and running 4/5 axis machines.
• Willing to work shift work (Mon-Fri with rotating 1st/2nd shifts).
• Experience with Okuma or HAAS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines safely according to policies.
• Produce parts to quality standards and productivity goals.
• Operate CNC lathes and mills as directed by supervisor.
• Adjust and replace machine tooling as needed.
• Suggest process improvements to supervisors/technicians.
• Perform daily machine maintenance and other duties as needed.
• Collaborate in a team-oriented environment and maintain accountability.

Job description

CNC Operator

Looking for experienced CNC Operators with previous experience in metal cutting.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as an operator for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinery in metal and/or tool fabrication.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience proving programs and running 4 and 5 axis machines.
• Willing to work shift work. Daily hours for 1st shift will be Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:30PM, 2nd shift, 3:15PM-1:15AM – on 2 weeks rotations.
• Experience with Okuma and HAAS machines considered an asset.

Job Responsibilities

• Operates machine in a safe manner in accordance with our safety policies and procedures.
• Produce parts and products according to our quality standards and productivity goals
• Operates CNC Lathes and mills as directed by the CNC Supervisor
• Able to adjust and replace machine tooling as necessary
• Understands our manufacturing processes and makes recommendations to the department supervisor and CNC technician to improve the manufacturing process when applicable
• Performs additional side operations as necessary during machine cycle time as required
• Performs daily maintenance of machines as required
• Performs other responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of the CNC operations and the company as a whole
• Participates and engages in a team-oriented manner and holds personal accountability in the performance of other duties and responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: CA $26 - CA $36 Per Hour
