Job summary

BD Diesel is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our Abbotsford shop on a new Weekend Shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM). Your hours will be topped to 40 per week, with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $28 to $48, based on experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of CNC Milling/Lathe experience, can read drawings, knowledge of G Code, and strong mechanical aptitude. Join a safety‑focused team and contribute to high‑quality, made‑in‑Canada diesel components.

Qualifications

• CNC experience: 5+ years on vertical/horizontal milling or lathe.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• G Code knowledge and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings to set up and run parts.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Position Overview:

We are excited to launch a new Weekend Shift:

• Friday - Sunday
• 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (36 Hours Per Weekend)
• Your hours will be topped up to 40 hours per week

As a member of the CNC Team, you will:

• Work as part of a small team to deliver demand driven value to customers

Who You Are?

• CNC Machining Experience: CNC Vertical, Horizontal Milling and or CNC Lathe: Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Knowledgeable in G Code
• Mechanical aptitude and sound knowledge of machine tooling
• Above average problem-solving skills
• Positive personality & able to deliver results with minimum supervision
• Willingness to learn and improve your skills
