Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Machinist to join our Calgary, AB team supporting the sour gas corrosion testing lab. The Machinist sets up and operates precision metal cutting and grinding machines, prepares test coupons, and follows SOPs to produce corrosion test specimens from oil and gas tubular products.

Under the Machinist Foreman, you will work with lathes, mills, grinders, and measurement tools, ensuring quality and safety in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Indentured Machinist credential.
• Completion of CNC machining course.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiar with CNC and manual machines.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate band saws, cut off saws, surface grinders.
• Operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Hand polish/grind test samples.
• Use precision measuring equipment for quality control.
• Perform regular shop cleaning, inspections and basic maintenance.
