Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Calgary, AB seeks a full-time CNC Lathe Machinist to program, set up and operate a CNC lathe, maintaining quality and safety standards for precision machined parts.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, adjusting speeds/feeds, selecting tooling, and performing in-process checks with calibrated measuring tools, while contributing to a team that values reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience operating lathes preferred, entry level encouraged.
  • Journeyman machinist certificate or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or SolidWorks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operation of lathes and tooling to meet tolerances.
  • Reviewing drawings to ensure specifications are met.
  • Adjusting speeds/feeds and tooling for precision manufacturing.
  • Maintain quality by using proper measuring tools and ISO/AS9100 standards where applicable.
  • Prepare maintenance tasks and calibrate tools.
  • Ensure safe, clean work areas and compliance with health and safety policies.

Job description

We are currently hiring for a full-time CNC Lathe Machinist for our manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. A CNC Lathe Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

As a CNC Lathe Machinist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Setup and operation of a variety of machines and tools required to complete jobs to specified tolerance
  • Reviewing and interpreting drawings to ensure all specifications are met
  • Modifying machine speeds and feeds, utilization of correct tooling, and cutting styles to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts
  • Ensuring quality on all parts and enforcing and complying to Fidelity quality standards
  • Preparing maintenance tasks and tool calibration
  • Full competency in the use and calibration of necessary measuring tools to complete in process checks as defined by Job Leaders and Quality
  • Time management planning for current and future jobs
  • Gathering and confirming correct materials and tooling to complete given tasks
  • Ensuring quality on all parts and enforcing the Fidelity quality standard ISO & AS9100
  • Ensuring that work areas are kept clean and organized, and that all Health and Safety Policies are being followed
Qualifications:
  • 2 years experience operating lathes is preferred but not required. Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Journeyman, machinist trade certificate or equivalent experience is considered an asset
  • Experience in Mastercam, Solidworks or any other CAD/CAM software is considered an asset
  • It is mandatory that this role take part in a criminal record check and controlled goods screening
