Oceaneering is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate vertical and horizontal machining centers, read drawings with GD&T, and perform in-process inspections. Onsite in Canada; extensive familiarity with mills and lathes is required.

Responsibilities include measuring and marking parts, selecting fixtures and tools, editing programs, and collaborating with engineers to ensure conformance to specs. Mastercam or Fagor experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5 years in a machining environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers (vertical, horizontal).
• Experience with CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficient in the use of quality control measuring devices.
• Ability to read and edit machine programs and comprehend GD&T.

Responsabilités

• Study sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.
• Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
• Set up and operate machines and fixtures on mills and lathes.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors and verify accuracy.
• Confer with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining problems.
