Job summary

North American Rail Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Manitoba to operate HAAS multi-axis machines, program updates, and perform setups with precision. This on-site role requires strong teamwork and problem solving to maintain top manufacturing standards.

The candidate will read engineering drawings, verify parts with precision tools, and work with fixtures to optimize processes. A Machinist certificate or diploma and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Machinist certificate or diploma required.
• 5+ years of experience in machine shop or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with HAAS CNC Multi-Axis operations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills.
• Drug and fitness screening required (fitness up to 50 lbs).
• Computer literacy is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Read, edit, and modify machining programs as needed.
• Perform machine setups and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to verify accuracy.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply machining techniques.
• Work with jigs and holding fixtures to optimize operations.
