The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture, repair, and overhaul of landing gears and flight-critical components for OEMs and operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing large, high-quality landing gear components with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, adhering to health and safety standards. The role requires the ability to rotate between 3 shifts.

Main responsibilities:

• Machine control, including programming, tool changes, troubleshooting, entering tool offsets, and M.D.I.
• Understanding setup sheets, tool lists, and operational detail sheets.
• Calculating work offsets and indicating.
• Understanding programmed tool paths.
• Managing tightening and clamping pressures, ensuring part integrity.
• Adjusting cutting pressures and boring bar settings; performing test cuts.
• Reading and understanding G and M codes.
• Proving tape for new and modified programs, anticipating machine actions.
• Performing preventive maintenance.
• Participating in 5-S activities.
• Conducting pre-start-up inspections with health and safety awareness.
• Running multiple machines safely and effectively.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to produce large, high-quality parts safely and efficiently.
• Positive and productive interaction with co-workers.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
• Must meet security screening requirements per ITAR/CGP directives.
