Qualifications

  • 1–7 months of experience.
  • On-site work only.
  • Read blueprints and specifications.
  • Operate CNC machines and set up tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using calipers and micrometers
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Enter codes for speed, feed and cut of toolpaths for CNC machines
  • Clean and maintain work space
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping machines
  • Monitor machine during operation
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Complete and maintain production reports
  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Operate bridge or overhead cranes to move plant machinery and materials
