Job summary

Accutec Steel Rule Die & Cutting Inc. in Vaughan, ON seeks a Production supervisor – machine shop to oversee machinists and operators in the production of precision dies and tooling. You will schedule work, assign tasks and set priorities to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality.

The role requires CNC setup capability, program development, coordination of materials and labour, and staff training. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Experience using CNC Machine is required.
• Minimum 7 months to 1 year of experience in related position is preferred.
• Effective oral and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule daily activities of machinists, operators, apprentices and other machine shop staff involved in production of dies, tooling and components.
• Review drawings, specs and job requirements; assign work and set production priorities to meet delivery timelines.
• Set up and operate CNC and related machinery; develop CNC programs to meet tolerances.
• Coordinate materials, tooling, equipment and labour; collaborate with other departments to complete orders efficiently.
• Monitor quality, resolve machining and workflow issues; suggest productivity improvements.
• Train and provide technical direction to staff; assist management with staffing and performance considerations.
