Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a Toolroom Lead to oversee daily toolroom operations, maintain tooling and dies, and lead the toolroom team in Vaughan, Canada. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration with production.

You will coordinate with multiple departments and apply Fanuc cobot programming experience to support tooling improvements and new prototypes. A strong apprenticeship and extensive tooling experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Qualified Tool & Die Maker with 4-year apprenticeship.
• 8 years tool and die making experience, automotive trim manufacturing preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a group leader or similar capacity is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily toolroom operations and ensure tools and dies are maintained and available for production.
• Supervise toolroom staff and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards and QMS (IATF16949) and EMS (ISO14001).
• Support production during troubleshooting, identify root causes and take corrective actions.
• Operate machine tools to cut, mill, grind, or finish as required.
• Train new staff on safe methods and company procedures.
