Opportunity

Location: Arborg, Manitoba – CNC Machine Operator (Mill and Lathe)

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and producing quality parts on CNC mills and lathes according to company plans, blueprints, work orders, and part specifications. This role includes loading materials, monitoring machine operations, making basic adjustments, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspecting quality parts for conformance to requirements.
  • Creating programs on lathes and milling machines according to company plans, blueprints, worklist and diagrams.
  • Identifying and labeling parts.
  • Preparing and loading raw materials and parts into machines and storage shelves.
  • Ensuring programming is economical to minimize waste.
  • Operating a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts.

  • Ability to read a tape measure is considered an asset; experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools is preferred.
