Job summary

UCAM, a leader in precision engineering, seeks a Fixture Designer with 3–4 years of CNC work‑holding experience. You will design high‑precision fixtures for 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis machines, validate with robust 3D checks, and deliver complete models and 2D drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Collaboration with production is essential to meet tight tolerances and schedules. You will manage lifecycle from budgeting to blueprint release, ensuring rigidity, repeatability, and tool clearance while

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of dedicated experience drafting and modeling CNC fixtures.
• Expert in SolidWorks and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Strong understanding of HMC pallet receiver alignments, 4th axis, and 5th axis tilt-table pivots.

Responsibilities

• Fixture Design for Manufacturing: design high‑precision fixtures for 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis CNC processes.
• Attend and conduct fixture design reviews; secure formal approvals before tooling fabrication.
• Produce and release finalized fixture models and 2D drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Collaborate with production and process engineering to align tooling capabilities with sequences.
• Monitor budgets and material procurement for each fixture project.
• Track lead times for raw materials and standard tooling accessories to ensure on‑time production.
