Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a skilled machinist to study drawings and determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations.

You will verify conformance using precision measuring tools and manage CAM program inputs and updates in coordination with the CAM department. The role requires at least 5 years of experience with machining and familiarity with Fanuc or Heidenhain controllers.

Qualifications

  • Experience reading technical drawings and determining dimensions/tolerances.
  • Proficient in using scales, calipers, micrometers, Vernier, and fixed gauges for inspection.
  • Ability to input and adjust CAM program data as instructed by CAM department.
  • Strong shop math knowledge and understanding of machining sequences.

Job Description:
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations using knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and the methodology and procedures of machining.
  • Verify conformance of the detail to specifications by using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, Vernier, and fixed gauges.
  • Recognize the functions of the specific Controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.
  • Input additions, deletions and changes to the machining program as instructed by the CAM department.
  • Decide and ensure assigned functions can be completed on specific machines.
  • Must have at least 5 years' experience for the wage mentioned above (willing to look at candidates with less experience but wage will change)
  • Must have experience with at least on or the other - Fanuc and/or Heidenheim controllers
