Job summary

A's Precision Machining is seeking a skilled machinist to join our on-site shop in Peel Region, Mississauga. You will read blueprints, program CNC machine tools, and ensure parts meet exact tolerances through precise measurement.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, a secondary school diploma, and meticulous attention to detail. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work at the physical location with no remote option.

Qualifications

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in machining or related field.
  • Secondary school graduation certificate required.
  • Must be able to work on site with no remote option.

Responsibilities

  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts.
  • Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Program CNC machine tools.
