Responsibilities

• Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
• Measure and lay out workpieces for assembly
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
• Repair machine tools and parts
• Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
• Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
• Verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Proposal preparation
• Operate and set up machines for repetitive machining operations
• Welding experience

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

Experience with measuring tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Calibre

Knowledge of computer and technology: Mastercam CAD / CAM, ERP software

Equipment experience: Automatic lathes, Broaching machine, Drill presses, Milling machines, Screw machines, Surface grinders, Tapping machines, Tool grinders, CNC machines
