You will set up and run 5-axis machines, follow AS 9100 quality procedures, and maintain detailed in-process inspection sheets to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.

Proficiency with measuring tools and HASS control is essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize production with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC 5-axis machines with precision.
• Follows AS 9100 QMS and quality procedures.
• Proficient with metrology tools and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Follow AS 9100 policies and procedures in QMS.
• Maintain in-process inspection sheets for each job.
• Complete first-off tooling and fixture checklists.
• Deburr first-off and production parts where feasible.
• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC 5-axis machines with accuracy.
• Identify and troubleshoot out-of-tolerance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Select, load, and measure tools and holders for each job.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Set up and operate machines efficiently with consistent quality.
• Recognize and resolve production problems proactively.
• Troubleshoot and adjust controls to stay within tolerance.
• Calibrate measuring tools, boring bars, and bore gauges.
• Align fixtures using references and indicators.
• Measure bores, bosses, and pins accurately.
• Check tool run-out to maintain tooling integrity.
• Choose appropriate tool holders for different tools.
• Demonstrate versatility across multiple machine centers.
• Operate HASS control to optimize programs and throughput.
