Job summary

We are seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join our Mississauga manufacturing team in Mississauga, ON. This permanent, unionized role requires hands-on CMM inspection and programming with a strong quality focus.

You will inspect engine components, develop CMM programs, read blueprints, and ensure conformance to FOD and quality standards. Afternoon shifts are included with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on CMM inspection experience.
• CMM programming experience required.
• Knowledge of MCOSMOS/PC-DMIS/CALYPSO or similar software.
• AS9100 and ISO 9000/14000 familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, inspection sheets and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform CMM inspections and dimensional verification of engine components, assemblies, details, and sub-assemblies.
• Develop and optimize CMM programs using drawings and 3D models.
• Conduct FOD inspections and ensure compliance with FOD requirements.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quantity and documentation.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join a manufacturing team in Mississauga, ON. This is a permanent, unionized opportunity for someone with strong hands-on CMM inspection and programming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CMM inspections and dimensional verification of engine components, assemblies, details, and sub-assemblies
• Develop and optimize CMM programs using engineering drawings and 3D models
• Perform visual, dimensional, in-process, First Article, final, and receiving inspections
• Operate CMM equipment, interpret inspection results, and identify non-conformances
• Work from blueprints, operation sheets, inspection plans, specifications, and work instructions
• Perform FOD inspections and ensure compliance with FOD prevention requirements
• Inspect incoming materials for quantity and product verification
• Inspect outgoing materials for correct packaging and documentation
• Perform operator and process audits in support of applicable accreditation requirements
• Accurately document and communicate inspection results
• Support on-the-job training and knowledge transfer

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on CMM inspection experience
• CMM programming experience is required
• Experience with MCOSMOS, PC-DMIS, CALYPSO, or similar CMM software
• Experience with LK or Mitutoyo CMM equipment is an asset
• Strong knowledge of dimensional, visual, in-process, and final inspection techniques
• Experience with First Article Inspection and FOD requirements
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9000/14000 standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, inspection sheets, and work instructions
• Quality Assurance Certificate and/or relevant post-secondary technical education preferred
• Approximately 4-5 years of related inspection/manufacturing experience preferred

Compensation & Schedule:

$30.00-35.00/hour, with annual increases in accordance with the CBA.

This is a unionized permanent position with day and afternoon shift opportunities:

• Afternoon Shift: approximately 2:30 PM-12:30 AM, Monday-Thursday

Some flexibility with start times may be available. Shift assignments will be based on business needs.
