Job summary

MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc. in Mississauga seeks an experienced CMM/Receiving Inspection Inspector with 5+ years’ hands-on CMM experience. You will perform dimensional inspections, develop programs in PC-DMIS and PolyWorks, and review FAIRs and supplier documentation to ensure quality conformity.

You will interpret complex drawings, GD&T requirements and coordinate with engineering and suppliers to resolve non-conformances. Strong analytical and reporting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CMM inspection or receiving inspection.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS and PolyWorks for programming and execution of inspection plans.
  • Experience reviewing FAIRs and supplier documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspection of incoming materials, components and parts.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using CMM equipment on complex components.
  • Develop, modify and execute inspection programs using PC-DMIS and/or PolyWorks.
  • Review FAIRs submitted by suppliers using Net-Inspect and verify documentation.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T requirements.
  • Perform first article, in-process and final inspections as required.
  • Document non-conforming materials and support disposition activities.
  • Analyze inspection data and trends to identify quality issues and improvements.
  • Prepare clear inspection reports and technical documentation.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Ensure inspection tools and CMM equipment are calibrated and maintained.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, engineering and internal quality teams.

Team Lead – Receiving Inspection

We are seeking an experienced CMM / Receiving Inspection Inspector with a strong background in dimensional inspection and incoming material verification. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands‑on experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and performing receiving inspection activities, along with proficiency in PC‑DMIS and PolyWorks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspection of incoming materials, components, and parts
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using CMM equipment on complex components
  • Develop, modify, and execute inspection programs using PC-DMIS and/or PolyWorks
  • Review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) submitted by suppliers using Net-Inspect
  • Review and verify supplier documentation and certifications
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections as required
  • Identify and document non-conforming materials and support disposition activities
  • Analyze inspection data and trends to identify quality issues and improvements
  • Prepare clear, detailed inspection reports and technical documentation
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues

  • Work closely with suppliers, engineering, and internal quality teams
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CMM inspection and/or receiving inspection
  • Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of incoming inspection processes and supplier quality requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in data analysis and technical report writing
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing environments (aerospace, or precision machining)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
  • Certification in metrology or quality inspection (ASQ or equivalent)
  • Experience with ERP systems for inspection documentation
  • Experience using Net-Inspect or similar FAIR management systems
Experience
  • Strong experience using PC-DMIS and PolyWorks (programming and operation)
  • Experience with standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
Education
  • Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field (preferred)
  • Specialized CMM certification (preferred)
