Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada seeks a dynamic leader for Cloud, Infrastructure & Workplace Platforms. You will drive reliability, security, and modernization of core platforms across Canada and the UK, leading teams responsible for cloud, compute, storage, and Microsoft 365 services.

You will provide technical and people leadership, delivering stable services while advancing automation, IaC, and hybrid cloud initiatives. A strong safety and security posture is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong experience managing AWS and Azure platforms.
• Strong experience managing Microsoft 365 services.
• Strong experience managing VMware environments.
• Experience managing enterprise SAN and NAS environments.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs.
• Experience in highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise infrastructure, cloud, compute, virtualization, storage, data protection, and Microsoft 365 operations.
• Ensure platforms are secure, reliable, resilient, compliant, and cost-effective.
• Oversee incident management, disaster recovery, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.
• Drive cloud adoption, workplace modernization, automation, IaC, monitoring, and platform governance.
• Establish operational standards, SLAs, KPIs, and audit-ready controls.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team with recruitment and talent development.
• Manage infrastructure budgets, vendor performance, contracts, and technology investments.
