Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Technical Director of Cloud Infrastructure to lead a high-impact team responsible for securing, scaling, and operating enterprise cloud platforms across AWS and Azure. You will own the cloud platform roadmap, drive execution, and align with Engineering, Product, Security, and Operations to deliver repeatable, secure infrastructure patterns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical cloud infrastructure teams.
• Strong hands-on understanding of AWS and Azure technologies.
• Deep knowledge of networking, cloud connectivity, routing, resiliency, and secure integration.
• Experience defining cloud governance models, infrastructure standards and reusable patterns.
• Working knowledge of FinOps practices including cost transparency and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a technical cloud infrastructure team focused on AWS and Azure provisioning, scaling, networking, connectivity, automation, and reliability.
• Define and deliver reusable cloud patterns, infrastructure as code modules, governance guardrails, and platform standards.
• Drive execution across complex cloud initiatives by breaking down problems, clarifying priorities, removing blockers, and holding teams accountable.
• Own the cloud platform roadmap and prioritization to deliver measurable outcomes for internal customers.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, Architecture, Operations, Finance, and vendors to deliver cloud-first solutions at enterprise scale.
• Work with Enterprise Architecture to propose cloud infrastructure solutions, reference patterns, and standards.
• Apply FinOps and governance practices to improve cost transparency, consumption discipline, risk management, and accountability.
• Lead technical discussions with clarity, translating trade-offs into practical recommendations for stakeholders.
• Review designs, identify risks, and propose improvements to scalability, security, and readiness.
• Operate in ambiguous environments with decisive actions and aligned stakeholders.
• Support vendor evaluations and negotiations, ensuring terms meet platform needs.
• Motivate and coach team members to raise standards and build resilient cloud capabilities across geographies.
