Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Specialist to join our Toronto team. This senior technical role works with customers to design, deploy, and optimize cloud-based architectures, bridging complex technical requirements with business outcomes.

You will embed with customers and internal teams, architect cloud networking solutions, lead migrations, and contribute to best practices, thought leadership, and published assets. Travel up to 30% for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6 years of networking, compute infrastructure, and cloud solution design experience
• 6 years of project management and technical solution delivery
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python/Java/Go/C/C++) with data structures and algorithms
• Experience with third-party networking products (PANW, Fortinet, VMware Cloud Foundation)
• Knowledge of containerization and cloud orchestration (GKE)
• Familiarity with IT security practices such as IAM, data protection, encryption

Responsibilities

• Propose and architect cloud networking solution architectures tailored to customer requirements and best practices
• Design and implement cloud-based technical architectures, migrations, and applications optimisations that meet business objectives
• Collaborate with internal specialists, product, and engineering to publish approaches, best practices, and lessons learned as assets
• Manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks, and timelines with sales, partners, and customer stakeholders
• Travel up to 30% for client engagements
