Job summary

S I Systems in Toronto is seeking an AWS Developer to design and develop cloud-native applications using Java and AWS. The role focuses on backend development with serverless architectures and full-stack work using React and Angular in a banking technology context.

You will build scalable services, implement REST/GraphQL APIs, and apply secure coding practices while collaborating across groups in a large financial services organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, CDK).
• Familiarity with Docker and ECS/EKS.
• Experience with REST API integration and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications on AWS.
• Build backend services using Java.
• Implement scalable backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) leveraging AWS services.
• Build responsive UIs with React and Angular; integrate front-end with backend.
