Job summary

Apera AI in Vancouver is seeking a Software Developer, Cloud Infrastructure (Co-Op) for an 8‑month term starting Jan 2027. You’ll build and improve cloud services powering our vision-driven robotics, gaining hands-on experience with production systems in a fast-learning environment.

You’ll work with AWS or GCP, learn IaC tools like Terraform or CDK, and collaborate with Robotics, Vision, and Software teams to deploy reliable, observable, and secure cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Programming experience in Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Git and basic software development workflows.
• Interest in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve cloud services running on AWS or GCP.
• Work with data and telemetry from robotic and vision systems.
• Learn reliability, observability practices and secure-by-design principles.
• Collaborate with Robotics, Vision, and Software teams to support deployments.
