Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced cloud platform engineer in Toronto, Canada, to deploy and manage Databricks workspaces with Unity Catalog and secure cluster configurations.

You will design Terraform IaC for Azure and Databricks, configure networking, and govern access using Azure AD, RBAC, and app registrations. The role emphasizes automation, troubleshooting, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Databricks workspaces.
• Strong knowledge of Unity Catalog, cluster configuration, workspace governance, and SCIM/Active Directory integrations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support Azure Databricks workspaces, including Unity Catalog, cluster configuration, user provisioning, and access management.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Terraform infrastructure-as-code for Azure and Databricks environments.

Job description

MUST-HAVES QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Databricks workspaces.
• Strong knowledge of Unity Catalog, cluster configuration, workspace governance, and SCIM/Active Directory integrations.

2. Terraform Development

• Strong understanding of state management, provider configuration, and troubleshooting Terraform deployment errors across Azure and Databricks.
• Experience designing and supporting VNets, subnets, CIDR allocation, VNet peering, and firewall/network security configurations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AD Groups, Service Principals, App Registrations, RBAC, and access governance.

5. Troubleshooting & Platform Support

• Strong root-cause analysis and debugging skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform integrations.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate troubleshooting and development workflows.

PLUSES

• Prior experience working within RBC environments.
• Familiarity with CorePipeline, Fireflow, MPP, or other RBC internal tooling.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation within Azure environments.
• Databricks, Azure, or Terraform certifications.
