Qualcomm Canada ULC is seeking a Systems Engineer to research, design, simulate, and validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions enabling cutting-edge technology. You will collaborate across teams to meet system-level requirements and standards in a replacement position.

The role emphasizes clocking systems, DSP, mixed-signal SerDes architectures, and model-to-silicon correlation, with strong emphasis on automation, verification, and regression frameworks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in related field.
• Master's degree with 3+ years in related field.
• PhD with 2+ years in related field.
• Experience in clocking systems, SerDes.

Responsibilities

• Develop industry-leading DSP and mixed-signal SerDes architectures with clock generation, recovery, and timing synchronization.
• Develop and maintain behavioral and system-level models for PLLs, CDRs, Retimers, and clock networks.
• Analyze performance, identify design margins, and create regression test frameworks for multiple projects.
• Support silicon bring-up and model-to-silicon correlation; investigate clocking performance issues.
• Improve simulation efficiency and automation in verification and regression workflows.
• Collaborate with analog, digital, firmware, and validation teams for integration of clocking solutions.
• Document analyses, decisions, and validation results.
