Job summary

A leading organization in Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Registered Clinician to join their Child and Youth Mental Health team. The successful candidate will provide psychotherapy and counselling to children and adolescents, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Job description

As a member of the Child and Youth Mental Health team, the Clinician – Registered will provide psychotherapy, single sessions, counselling, and clinical assessments to address the behavioral, social, and emotional needs of children, adolescents (up to 18 years old), and their families. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and innovative, working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Job Requirements (Qualifications and Skills):
  1. A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a health-related discipline is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or other four-year Honours degrees combined with a College diploma accepted by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), or College of Nurses of Ontario will be considered.
  2. Must be eligible or registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the College of Nurses of Ontario, the College of Psychologists, or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, in accordance with the Psychotherapy Act. Membership must be maintained annually.
  3. Clinical skills in children’s mental health.
  4. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other professionals.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  6. Bilingual in English and French is required.
  7. Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
Additional Information:
