Job summary

Children's Mental Health Ontario is seeking a Clinician – Non-Registered to join their Child and Youth Mental Health team. The role involves providing counselling and clinical assessments to children and adolescents, requiring strong clinical skills and bilingualism. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, addressing the emotional and behavioral needs of youth and their families.

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.A. in Psychology (3 years).
  • Registered clinicians accepted by OCSWSSW, CRPO, or similar.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Job description

As a member of the Child and Youth Mental Health team, the Clinician – Non-Registered will provide single sessions, counselling, support, and clinical assessments to address the behavioral, social, and emotional needs of children, adolescents (up to 18 years old), and their family support systems. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and innovative, working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of professionals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS) :

  • Minimum B.A. in Psychology (3 years).
  • Registered clinicians meeting the education and registration requirements accepted by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse, the College of Psychologists, or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario are encouraged to apply. Salary will be determined accordingly.
  • Clinical skills in children’s mental health.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Bilingualism (English / French) is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
