Job summary

St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg is seeking a Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) to provide clinical nursing leadership and coordinate patient care within the 4E Family Medicine teaching unit.

The role requires at least two years in acute medical care, charge nurse experience, active CRNM registration, and strong computer/communications skills. This maternity/parental term supports a collaborative, patient-centered approach and includes working days and some weekends in person.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full‑time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.)

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of and in collaboration with the Manager Health Services and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital (SBH), the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for providing clinical expertise to nurses. The CRN assumes a leadership role in coordinating patient care within the health care team, ensuring quality patient care outcomes, and promoting an interprofessional patient centered approach to care based on best practice.

Experience

• Minimum two (2) years recent Acute Medical.
• Nursing experience in a tertiary care setting experience required
• Charge Nurse experience required.
• Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of common e-mail and internet software applications required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Current CRNM registration required.
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

Qualifications And Skills

• Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
