Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a Clinical Coordinator in Saskatoon to manage patient flow on the Nursing unit at Jim Pattison Children's Hospital. You will coordinate bed management, discharge planning and advocate for patients and families.

This temporary part-time role requires a BScN, significant nursing leadership experience, and current CRNS registration. The position offers a 0.47 FTE schedule, weekend rotations, and a pay band Nurse B of $42.04–$52.44 per hour.

Qualifications

• Three years of charge nurse experience
• Three years of experience in the specific clinical area
• Five years of recent acute or community nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) required
• Nursing diploma acceptable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bed management and discharge planning.
• Advocate for the patient/family and coordinate patient flow on the Nursing unit.
• Identify supply and equipment needs and assist with staff scheduling.

Job Description: The Clinical Coordinator, under the direction of the Manger, is primarily accountable for the system navigation and coordination of patient flow on the Nursing unit. This is achieved by the Coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow of the unit. Duties include bed management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient/family, identifying supply and equipment needs and assisting with Staff Scheduling.
