Job summary

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support the Lunken Lab at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute, focusing on nutrition and gut microbiome studies in adult and pediatric IBD patients. You will manage ethics submissions, coordinate data collection, and ensure protocol adherence while interacting with a broad clinical and academic team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant technical program or a university degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum three years of related experience.
• Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own
• Demonstrates a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Experience in clinical research is preferred.
• Certification with CCRP or CCRA is an asset; TCPS2, GCP, UBC REB knowledge is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team and independently

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen, consent, recruit, and follow-up study participants; perform study-specific assessments.
• Ensure all aspects of the study adhere to ICH, GCP and Tri-Council guidelines and SOPs.
• Perform data collection and entry accurately and timely.
• Prepare and organize ethical submissions and regulatory documents; supervise trainees to submit REB documents.
• Design and develop data collection forms for REDCap or related programs.
• Build relationships with investigators, medical fellows and students to support recruitment.
• Prepare study advertisements and instructional materials for participant recruitment.
• Maintain regulatory study documents and REB approvals; manage renewals and amendments.
• Assist with sample processing and data analysis; contribute to abstracts and manuscripts.
• Collaborate with investigators to generate study reports and meeting materials.
• Perform other related duties as required
